Introduction: Academic faculty members need to emphasize ethical principles in order to improve higher education, with the understanding of this importance, the current research was conducted with the aim of designing the ethical model of academic faculty members in Iran's higher education. Material & Methods: This research is a type of qualitative study that uses foundational data theory. The participants, including experts and faculty members of the country's public universities, who were responsible for the promotion of academic members, were selected as key informants through a targeted sampling method of 45 people. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews. The reliability and validity of the data were obtained from the two methods of reviewing the participants and recoding by experts. Data were analyzed by open, central and selective coding. Results: The results showed that the moral model of faculty members in Iran's higher education is explained in 10 main categories and 27 subcategories. Major and core categories in the form of 6 dimensions of causal conditions including (individual factors, organizational factors), core (cultural-educational, educational ethics, research ethics, scientific-executive), background conditions (higher education policies, moral activism), intervening conditions (environmental factors), strategies (micro level-university, macro level-higher education) and consequences (individual and organizational) were elevated to a higher abstract level and finally the research paradigm model was presented. Conclusion: The regulations for the promotion of academic staff members in Iran require a detailed revision of the content with an ethical and qualitative approach in order to make the indicators of the promotion regulations efficient and effective.

Abstract:

PATTERNs are found everywhere and the past fifty years studies have advanced our understanding of the mechanisms. In this paper, we study those systems that develop temporary PATTERNs. Special emphasis is made on Turing instabilities as one of the most common sources of PATTERN FORMATION. Gierer-Meinhardt model acts as one of prototypical reaction diffusion systems describing PATTERN FORMATION phenomena in natural events. Bifurcation analysis, including theoretical and numerical analysis, is carried out on the Gierer-Meinhardt activator-substrate model. The effects of diffusion on the stability of equilibrium points is investigated. It shows that under some conditions, diffusion-driven instability, i. e, the Turing instability, about the equilibrium point will occur, which is stable without diffusion. These diffusion-driven instabilities will lead to the occurrence of spatially nonhomogeneous solutions. Consequently, some PATTERN FORMATIONs, like stripe and spots solutions, will appear. To illustrate theoretical analysis, we carry out numerical simulations. These diffusion-driven instabilities will lead to the occurrence of spatially nonhomogeneous solutions. Abstract:

One of the fundamental issues in families today is to observe consumption PATTERNs consistent with Islamic- Iranian culture. Research suggests that there is a discrepancy between the current society's consumption PATTERN and the ideal consumption PATTERN from the Islamic- Iranian point of view. Therefore, the present study aimed to determine the impact of factors such as belief in the creativity and integrity of the Almighty God, the knowledge of the goods of the Prophet, the desirability of God's blessings and the prevailing culture in society, on the PATTERN of Islamic consumption through a survey. Statistical population of consumer survey is over 18 years old in Karaj city. The research instrument was a researcher-made questionnaire. Structural equations and PLS software were used for data analysis. The results of testing the hypotheses showed that factors such as belief in God's creativity and endurance, desirability of divine blessings and ruling culture in society have a positive and significant effect on the PATTERN of Islamic consumption. However, understanding the goods of the traders does not influence the PATTERN of Islamic- Iranian consumption.

Abstract:

FitzHugh-Nagumo (FHN) model is a famous Reaction-Diffusion System which first introduced for the conduction of electrical impulses along a nerve fiber. This model is also considered as an abstract model for PATTERN FORMATION. Here, we have used the Cellular Automata method to simulate the PATTERN FORMATION of the FHN model. It is shown that the PATTERN of this model is very similar to those of a kind of a rabbitfish which implies natural PATTERNs could be based on reaction-diffusion systems. We have also considered the effects of different parameters of the FHN model on changing the initial PATTERN.

Abstract:

Background and Objective: Bordetella pertussis is a gram-negative cocobacilli bacterium and etiologic agent of whooping cough that in recent years, the number of its cases is on the rise. The ability of biofilm production helps this bacterium in interference with host immune system, severity of illness and antibiotic sensitivity. Thus, due to the importance of this factor, in this investigation, we tested the ability of Bordetella pertussis isolates in biofilm FORMATION.Materials and Methods: Nasopharyngeal samples were collected from persons who suspected whooping cough from throughout of Iran from 2014 to 2016 and were transferred to pertussis reference laboratory in Pasteur Institute of Iran. The bacterium in question was isolated by culture so that finally we had 20 positive samples. At the end, we performed in vitro biofilm FORMATION test for isolated strains. Results: All of the 20 clinical samples of Bordetella pertussis which in this study were examined could form biofilm and their final OD became between 0.606 and 1.212, the power of the biofilm made by them was intermediate. Conclusion: Findings of this study was similar to researches conducted by other researchers, which showed the ability of the strains of Bordetella pertussis to form biofilm and to create adverse effects on the host for example antibiotic resistance, illness severity, and so on. Thus, considering the importance of this issue, more and broader researches are needed in this area.

Abstract:

Bacterial colonies in nature are often required to evolve under harsh and hostile environmental growth conditions. In order to do so, bacteria work as a social FORMATION and employ intricate communication capabilities to exchange inFORMATION and interact cooperatively to form highly complex colonies, equipped with higher capabilities for adaptation to the environmental challenges. These colonies that could be observed as intricate spatial PATTERNs are essentially the manifestation of bacterial self-organization resulting from such cooperative behavior. The inFORMATION required by the bacteria for giving rise to the observed self-organized complex PATTERN FORMATION is generated through cooperative interactions, depending on and in response to the available growth conditions. Bacterial self-organization and colony FORMATION, thus, appears as an instance of a social network, essentially created through communicative interactions. In this paper, we use concepts from game theory and informatics to describe the emergence of self-organization and consequent PATTERN FORMATION through communicative cooperation in Bacillus subtilis colonies. The emergence of cooperative regime is modelled as an Assurance game, with the bacterial colonies as individual players. The game is played iteratively through cooperative communication, and mediated by exchange of inFORMATION about the local environment between the different bacterial colonies comprising the system. The iteration causes the interactive system to grow and produce beautiful complex spatial PATTERNs signaling the emergence of self-organization. As a formal description of the game, we model the emergence of this cooperative behavior as finite deterministic automata, whose transition function is informed by the Assurance game pay-off.
